Light a Scented Candle: A Book That Is Lighthearted
Hm, I’ve read my fair share of lovely lighthearted books. I think Teen Idol by Meg Cabot is one of my favorites to return to. I’ve picked this over my other two favorites of hers (All-American Girl and Avalon High) because I think both of those have less lighthearted moments.
Drink Pumpkin Spiced Lattes: A Book That Has a Lot of Hype
The that came to mind first was Children of Vengeance and Virtue by Tomi Adeyemi. This book just came out today and I have been looking forward to it since I read her first!
Go Apple Picking: A Book That Has Fun Friendships
Surprisingly, and I’ll discuss this later this week in my series review The Collector books by Dot Hutchinson have a lot of great friendships! The first one, The Butterfly Garden less so, but the friendships formed in the next three are absolutely fun to read. My favorite moment between the friend group was in the fourth book, The Vanishing Season.
Wear A Cozy Sweater: A Book That Warms Your Heart
This one’s a toughy… I think for me this tag item is for a book that makes you warm and smile a lot. That would definitely be a book I reread regularly for me, so perhaps Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. As the first in the series, it has a lot less of a serious tone to it and just feels cozy.
Bake Cinnamon Roles: A Character Who’s a Talented Chef
Oh wow another tough one! I do not know off the top of my head a character whom I remember as being a talented chef… Perhaps Sally Owens from Practical Magic by Alice Hoffman? Though I can’t say anything she ever cooked made me want to salivate reading about it.
Jump Into A Pile of Leaves: A Book That Made You Jump for Joy
Definitely Circe by Madeline Miller, literally because it came in the mail so much earlier than expected! I was excited to read it, and it lived up to my expectations so what more could I ask for?
