Hello bookworms! I know it’s been a hot second since I did a blog post or any sort of checking in. If you follow my Twitter you may have seen that the reason why has to do with Internet access. Essentially, my new apartment was registered incorrectly by the building as a separate residence because it has street access and thereby a separate street address than the building. When we scheduled Internet service, the engineer being sent had the wrong information and the wrong equipment and delayed service. We’ve got a tech coming in on Monday at some point, hopefully that will work!
We did cave and purchase week long Internet passes for a local hotspot, so I’m hoping that the combination of passes and incoming service will allow me to get back on track with blogging. I’m no longer spending three hours of my day just commuting to work now that we’ve settled somewhere, but our financial situation is not great and we’re dealing with a lot of administrative parts of the move.
Shameless plug: I have a Fiverr account for tarot card readings online! If you’re interested in a reading, I offer three price points and would really appreciate your business.
I am behind on my reading goals as an unsurprising result of my move. But, now that we’ve settled on an address, I can get a library card! The local branch of the library is just a block up from my work, and on my walk every day I pass a fun looking used bookstore with a cat in the window! There’s another used bookstore further down the street I work on, as well as a mysterious metaphysical library somewhere in the businesses behind my job. In other words: I’m surrounded by book opportunities and I love it.
I appreciate the kind words and encouragement I’ve gotten from you all during my hiatus! My goal for 2020 is to grow my blog and become better at engagement, and I wouldn’t be able to do that without those of you that comment and like so my thanks go out to you. For now, I’m going to wrap up and finish my coffee so I can get some more business done before work, have a lovely Saturday bookworms!
