Hi there book bees! This will be a more casual post, but excitingly this is my 100 day streak! I’m pretty happy about that, as keeping up this streak of posting daily has been a goal of mine for a little while. So happy 100 day!
Ayesha at Last by Uzma Jalaluddin
This book is a retelling of Pride and Prejudice set in modern day Canada and featuring Muslim main characters. I would absolutely love to see this book adapted into a movie to join all the other adaptations of Pride and Prejudice out there.
The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini
Though we got an Eragon movie, the movie is notoriously….not great. Some poor casting choices, bad CGI, and the choices against book loyalty were all factors in making this movie disappointing. I think I’d love a series that adapts all four books in the series, one with better casting and more book loyalty (to the important things, like Arya’s entire personality). I also think we have much better CGI for dragons now, and that would go a long way towards improving the adaptation.
Furyck Saga by A.E. Rayne
I’m on the third book of this series now and MAN I LOVE it! I think with the amount of characters, cinematic battle scenes, and rich descriptions, it would be really interesting to see this adapted into a television series!
The Girl From the Well by Rin Chupeco
Oh man I would die to see this as a movie. Chupeco does such a good job of describing everything as though it really is a horror movie, I think that with a lot of book loyalty this would turn into a fantastic movie. I mean, the visuals are already there thanks to popular movies like The Ring!
I think that’s all for now! Let me know in the comments if you have a favorite book you think would be a great movie or television series!
