Favorite read

I think my favorite read was either Knightmare Arcanist or Killian’s Dead. Both were fairly entertaining, and both have inspired me to keep reading their respective series. Knightmare Arcanist was an entertaining and unexpected new fantasy read for me, and I’m excited to have the second book thanks to Kindle Unlimited. Killian’s Dead is a short story prequel to May Day by Josie Jaffrey, and having received physical copies of both I am so glad these are my major summer reads!

Goals Accomplished

Maintain My Streak

Well book bees, I’m now on a 109 day streak! I’ve managed to get at least one blog post out a day for some time now, and it’s kind of exciting!

Transition from D&D series to Kindle Unlimited

I kind of did this? It turns out the Kindle Unlimited series as I imagined it wasn’t as easy to write as I’d hoped, so I haven’t officially made it a definite weekly post. I’ve been writing the occasional post when inspired, but that’s about it.

Start transitioning to StoryGraph

This one has definitely stalled. For a little while, I was trying to update my StoryGraph daily and keep it in the forefront, but I lost interest in doing this at some point when making sure the books recorded for my reading challenge were accurate. I understand that the beta features mean it’ll be a bit more difficult to navigate for a time, but I’m patient enough to wait for StoryGraph to improve before moving to using it more often.

Read something outside my comfort zone

Goal accomplished! This one for sure got conquered as I read a science fiction novella–Emergency Skin–as well as a wonderful Middle Grade book for a damppebbles book tour!

Sign up for another readathon

This one I didn’t quite accomplish; I kept putting off looking up readathons until it was really too late. But I’m thinking about maybe doing one in late August to make up for it!

Final Thoughts

All in all, this month has been a pretty decent one. I did quite a bit with the blog just by posting every single day, and I’m proud of where this blog is going. With regular activity and posts, I’m seeing more consistent engagement and I feel more confident putting out more and more posts. I think sometimes I can use a break, such as what I did yesterday where I just let my scheduled post go up and didn’t worry too much about doing anything else. But I’m happy with the content I’ve put out this month!
