Wow, I can’t believe that September is already almost over! As I’ve discovered the past few months, if I want to accomplish certain challenges I need to start planning ahead. So, it’s time to start figuring out my Blogtober schedule! Last year I planned out the posts I would publish every day and managed to complete all the prompts I wanted. I hope to do the same this year, and that requires a little bit of hunting.
First of all: is there anything I know I want to write about? Sure there is! I love fall, October, Halloween, and Blogtober alike! So, here are some things I want to cover before I look into other people’s prompt lists and challenges:
- I want to talk about some unique horror movies I’ve seen
- I want to read and review at least one Halloween set book
- I want to read and review at least one book with vampires in it (vampire renaissance anybody?)
- I want to participate in an Instagram themed challenge (and use it as an excuse to buy Halloween props)
So now it’s time to start compiling prompt lists and others’ challenges for ideas! Which uh…. Is harder than I thought. I can’t quite remember when I started looking at potential prompts last year, but I’m surprised to see how few posts are published right now with prompt ideas and challenges!
I managed to find this post with a list of daily prompts, some of which are autumnal and some of which are general. I do like some of them so I’ll be bookmarking the post for reference in case I adapt any of the prompts! Thus far, I haven’t been able o find many other posts that are specifically geared to book bloggers, but I’ll keep an eye out. Please let me know in the comments if you’ve posted on this topic for book blogging in Blogtober and I’ll check out your post!
