October Readathons!

Yes, I know, this post seems a little absurdly early but I’m discovering that the sooner I start looking into these readathons the more likely I actually participate! And Blogtober means a lot to me, so I’d like to guarantee I can take part in some readathons.

Hocus Pocus Readathon

This readathon takes place during the whole month of October and is inspired by the iconic Disney film Hocus Pocus. I took part in this readathon last year and it was a blast! Just like last year, I’ll be joining Team Sanderson Sisters! For this team, my prompts are:

  • Sarah: Read a book that features sisters
  • Winifred: Read a book about powerful witches
  • Mary: Read a book about an evil character
  • Group book: Mooncakes by Suzanne Walker

Rocky Horror Readathon: October 18th – 31st

This readathon speaks for itself in its title. Who doesn’t love a good Rocky Horror Picture Show reference? But MAN there are a lot of prompts! Here is a link to the readathon’s Twitter. My understanding of the readathon is that the prompts are structured as a bingo card and your goal is to get bingo.

Spooktober Readathon: October 1st – 31st

If you’re into horror, thriller, or mystery genres then this readathon is right up your alley! Personally, I don’t think I’ll be joining in after reviewing the prompts for each team, but if you want to focus your October readings on a particular genre then this readathon should help you a lot!
