Blogtober Day 3: Characters I’d dress as for Halloween!

For this post’s purposes I’m limiting myself to book characters otherwise the list would probably be too long!

This prompt is one I adopted from Carmen’s Reading Corner!

Audrey Rose Wadsworth (Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco)

I don’t think it would be hard to dress as Audrey Rose just by getting a costume of vaguely the same period and a black wig. But it would be especially fun to try and recreate one of Audrey Rose’s dresses! The ones she takes the time to describe in detail are always super gorgeous and I would love to adopt one of the ones from Hiding From Houdini in particular!

Jack Valentine (Seekers by Josie Jaffrey)

Honestly most of the fun would be getting to pretend to act like Jack! This costume would be ideal for a party setting (so not this year haha) and would go best hand in hand with a few extra strong drinks. I’m guessing this would be an easy costume to assemble from a closet and just add some fake blood to!

Gillian Owens (Practical Magic by Alice Hoffman)

While I probably relate more to Sally sometimes, Gillian lives the life I wish I could lead haha. Also, Nicole Kidman’s style in the movie was just awesome and I wouldn’t mind stealing a few of those outfits! Especially the snake tattoo that Gillian has, which is on my dream tattoo list.

Do you have any bookish characters you’d like to dress as for Halloween?
