Coffee With Catherine: 11/29

I can’t believe that December is starting this coming week! It’ll be awesome to have 2020 finally come to an end. I’m just slightly hoping that 2021 will be better, but trying not to be too optimistic so it doesn’t suck as much when things inevitably go horribly.

Just like this time last year, my husband and I are contemplating a move. We’re hoping to move to a nearby city that’s just slightly cheaper, so we can actually manage to save some money. Without my husband being able to work, the most we’ve managed to sock away into savings at a time is about $800, and even then that…gets whittled down each month. People were not meant to live two to one paycheck in this city. Unfortunately, because nothing can ever be easy, until I can get yet another part time job we’re unlikely to even be approved for an apartment and be able to move. The poverty line is not a fun place to live.

I think I’ll be maintaining my lower level of posting and activity on the blog. It’s frustrating not to get as much engagement as I was used to, but I’ve got a lot going on right now and I can’t afford to be stressed about this as well.

Here’s hoping December goes by quickly and we end this shitty year finally!
