Life Update
May has been a real doozy of a month y’all. I’ve mentioned many a time before that my job has always sucked due largely to poor management. Things really fell apart this month, and I ended up quitting in the middle of one of my shifts after being emotionally manipulated. We’re moving out of the state at the beginning of August, but until then I am desperately trying to make an income. So if you’re interested, I’m selling tarot card readings on my Ko-Fi! You can also absolutely buy me a coffee to help me keep putting out content.
What I read this month:
- China Rich Girlfriend (Crazy Rich Asians #2) by Kevin Kwan, 4 stars | review
- Rich People Problems (Crazy Rich Asians #3) by Kevin Kwan, 4 stars | review
- Sex and Vanity by Kevin Kwan, 3 stars | review
- Piranesi by Susanna Clarke, 3 stars
- Tiny Pretty Things (Tiny Pretty Things #1) by Sona Charaipotra, 3 stars
- A Hope Divided (The Loyal League #2) by Alyssa Cole, 4 stars
- A Sucky Love Story: Overcoming Unhappily Ever After by Brittani Louise Taylor, 3 stars
- Four Dead Queens by Astrid Scholte, 3 stars
DNF’ed: 2 books
Total: 8 books
- 4 stars: 3 books
- 3 stars: 5 books
Favorite Read
I think that Four Dead Queens may have been the most enjoyable read. While Kwan’s books were the best I read this month overall, Four Dead Queens was captivating up to a point. I won’t give away too many of my thoughts as the review is forthcoming, but suffice to say I saw several different endings and none of them were quite what happened.
