With pandemic woes, busy schedules, and adult life a lot of us aren’t able to go to gatherings, parties, or any sort of Halloween event. But that doesn’t mean you should avoid dressing up if you want to don a Halloween costume this year! Here are 7 things you can do while in costume this season:
1. Do some TikTok memes!
There are lots of cool TikTok memes that are more fun if you’re wearing something that makes you feel confident and cool. Why not do a few while you’re in costume?
2. Take some pictures!
Dress up and have a miniature photoshoot at home! You can dress up with your partner, your roommates, your family, your pet, or if you live alone you can invite a few friends over to dress up together!
3. Halloween Zoom Party!
Okay okay, I know this technically counts as a party, but for those that are unable to get out and about, or uncomfortable doing so, why not have a Zoom party?
4. Have a Halloween Movie Marathon!
Whether this is just by yourself, or with friends or family, you can have the experience of dressing up for a fun movie night! Get yourself some awesome spooky snacks and beverages of choice, then settle in for a wicked good time.
5. Pass out candy!
There are actually some areas that are doing trick or treating this year! And honestly, I always find it fun seeing the costumes the kids are wearing. There are definitely ways to be responsible about passing out candy as well depending on where you live.
6. Do some spooky reading!
I would hope this one’s pretty obvious–this is a book blog after all–but I whole heartedly recommend getting dressed up just to read your favorite spooky book! Or other seasonal read if you’re not much for the spooky.
7. Play some games!
Whether you play video games, board games, or card games you should absolutely don your Halloween best to play them! If you’re a Twitch streamer, viewers will certainly enjoy seeing your costume–and if you’re just playing with friends (in real life or virtually) then it could be a full blown costume party!
