Life Update
I thought I’d start here. If you follow me in any other bookish spheres, you’ve likely learned that my job…well. I girlbossed too close to the sun. After applying for an entry level position in a fashion store, I was interviewed for an associate management position–and a week after starting the job, I was asked to interview for the store manager position. Which I did, and then accepted. I went from working only three days a week to being 40+ hours, very busy, and overwhelmed by so many new things to learn in a very short amount of time. So needless to say, I’m still trying to figure out when I’m going to have time for enough sleep, seeing friends, and cleaning my apartment. Hence why these blog posts have been so few and far between lately…

Of everything great that I read this month, I have to say that Iron Widow was the best. It was surprising, daring, and compelling all at once. I couldn’t stop reading it once I started. There’s a lot of emotion latent in Iron Widow, so it can be a charged or overwhelming read. But despite this, it never pulls its punches or goes too far. The plot keeps you thinking, the characters keep you engaged, and the ending? Surprising as hell.
